If your body starts to sweat excessively without any physical activity, you may be suffering from hyperhidrosis, or excessive sweating. In medical terms, hyperhidrosis refers to excessive production of sweat. Ordinarily occurring in adulthood, it can also affect you in your childhood or even in your infancy.

When your body sweats excessively, the parts of the body that are most affected are the underarms, hands and feet. The disease is not fatal and there is no danger to your life. However, the negative impact on your appearance, social life and relationships is severe enough to cause constant mental distress.

The intensity of excessive sweating will always differ from person to person and no two persons will have the same amount of sweating. For example, many people have sweaty palms. However, if your palm produces more than 20 milligrams of sweat per minute, then you are suffering from hyperhidrosis of some sort. While excessive sweating causes discomfort and embarrassment for the person involved, it may also cause discomfort for those who are in close proximity. No one wants to hold someone’s sweaty palm. Furthermore, it can produce odor especially in the underarm area.

Causes of excessive sweating include abnormalities in the medulla oblongata of the brain, which controls the body’s autonomic functions. Research shows that brain syndromes such as brain malformation and strokes, can all cause excessive sweating syndrome. Syringomyelia, which is a disease of the spinal chord, and spinal chord tumors, can also cause profuse sweatiing. Painful skin lesions like venous ulcers can cause the nerves to be irritated resulting in excessive sweating. Other causes include surgical damage to nerves and Ross syndrome, which is a rare disorder of thermoregulation, hormonal irregularities such as excessive activities in the thyroid or pituitary glands, and shock that causes increased release of catecholamines (hormones released by the pituitary gland in situations of stress).

Excessive Sweating has varied causes. However, one need not live with this disorder. By implementing a comprehensive program one can fight this disorder naturally and holistically.

<img align="center" src="http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l5/onyxgaia/banana.jpg" alt =Mac Makeup">

This is not your average recipe book. It is not any sort of recipe passed down by grandma from generation to generation. These are colon recipes meant to cleanse your intestines of rubbish, thereby ridding your body of parasites. We all have parasites. However, if you have a city of parasites, so to speak, your health is in danger.

Why do we need to clean our colons?
Have you ever had a clogged sink and either you or the plumber was awarded the fun task of removing the pipes? What do you find? You find an accumulation of debris and grime stemming from years of junk that piled in the sink. Let’s be honest. We eat healthy food and we eat junk. Both accumulate in our intestines and parasites happily colonize and feed.

Therefore, periodically, we need to cleanse our colons with colon detox products that will gradually rid ourselves of these harmful parasites. If you are sluggish or just don’t feel well, it may be because of a sluggish colon due to lack of cleansing.

Raw Spinach Colon Cleansing Vegetable Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups of spinach
1 Carrot
Half a lemon

Shred the spinach as if you were making a tossed salad. Either chop or grate the carrot over the spinach (makes it look more appetizing). Squeeze half a lemon over the mixture. The lemon replaces salad dressing. This recipe is not a gourmet meal, but it is not nausea-inducing either. The mixture will serve as a broom and will sweep debris onwards and downwards as it travels through your colon. In addition, this salad will give you a boost of the hottest nutrients such as Vitamins A, Beta Carotene, B-6, K and E and Iron.

Simple Fruit Colon Recipe
Ingredients
1 banana, cinnamon

Take one banana and mash it up in a small bowl. Add a pinch of cinnamon and enjoy.

Bananas help to normalize the colon and are packed with potassium. Anytime you feel hungry you can eat a banana and know that it is beneficial to your colon. Nutrients nestled in bananas besides potassium include Zinc, B2, Folate and Iron.

These simple fruit recipes will go a long way in helping you to increase your colon health. Vegetable and fruit colon recipes are the keys to vitality and beauty. Did you know eating fruits and bananas do wonders for your complexion?

For an easy, foolproof way of transforming your colon health from a sluggish, putrid tube into a smooth, healthy colon is to do a colon cleanse. Click Here to try a bottle of one of the best colon cleansers on the market for free!

My grandma always taught me that if I wanted white teeth, I can do one of two things. Use charcoal – yes—charcoal, or use indigo. My grandma grew up in the West Indies, so maybe indigo was easy to get in her days. Even though I can get charcoal, I would feel weird rubbing something that will turn my teeth temporarily black in hopes that my teeth will whiten.

We, in the sophisticated US have other options right? We have those easy and sterile home based whitening systems that we can use at night to naturally whiten teeth. Hold on. Before running to the nearest drug store to buy these whitening trays, have we given any thought to teeth-whitening safety?

Tray Based Teeth Whitening Systems

Tray-based whitening systems usually use a 10% carbamide peroxide solution. Carbamide peroxide solution is similar to the hydrogen peroxide solutions we have sitting in the bathroom. (In fact, hydrogen peroxide is rumored to whiten teeth too.). So then why don’t we just use hydrogen peroxide in those whitening trays? Well, we can. However, hydrogen peroxide is less stable than Carbamide peroxide, Carbamide peroxide is made of hydrogen peroxide and urea. In the presence of water, it becomes hydrogen peroxide.

What are some of the side effects of teeth whitening?

Gum irritation- level of peroxide use, bleaching tray
Tooth sensitivity- may be due to the tooth nerve tissue becoming inflamed. It is usually transitory and occurs during the teeth whitening process. Bleaching trays can put pressure on teeth and gums.

Is teeth whitening worth the side effects? What say you?

Everywhere you look on the internet, you see, pages about mesothelioma. What exactly is mesothelioma and why is it plastered all over the internet?

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that affects the mesothelial cells of an organ. The mesothelial cells form a lining for the chest, abdominal and heart cavity and also cover the surface of many organs.

How Did Mesothelioma enter our awareness?

Why is this cancer even in our vocabulary? We first became aware of mesothelioma when we first became aware that asbestos can cause cancer. Almost all cases of mesothelioma are caused by asbestos exposure. The unfortunate thing about mesothelioma is that it can be caused by limited exposure to asbestos. Professions with the highest risk of mesothelioma are professions with the highest risk of asbestos. They include, auto mechanics, construction, sailors and boilermakers.

Mesothelioma Symptoms

Pleural Mesothelioma: Patients may present with symptoms resembling pneumonia: shortness of breath, pain in the chest area.

Peritoneal Mesothelioma: abdominal pain, nausea, weight loss, bowel problems.

Mesothelioma Diagnosis

Symptoms are usually non-specific. However, patients with pleural mesothelioma usually have built up of fluid in the chest cavity (pleural effusion). There may be effusion in the pericardial cavity (sac that surrounds the heart) or in the abdomen in the case of peritoneal mesothelioma.

I have always known about coronary heart disease and I guess I understand the concept of being sick and not having any symptoms. However, I didn’t know it was so common that there is an actual name for the disease: Asymptomatic Coronary Heart Disease.

Tim Russert died of a heart attack brought about by a coronary thrombosis (a blood clot that forms within the coronary artery. The coronary artery is the major blood supply to the heart and a blockage can result in a heart attack. When someone has fatty deposits in his coronary artery (atherosclerosis), a thrombosis is likely to form in that location. This is what happened to Tim Russert.

Tim apparently had asymptomatic coronary heart disease which means he has no physical symptoms; however tests were able to find that he had these fatty deposits in his artery which put him at increased risk of heart attack.

Here are some facts I picked up during my research:
• In 2002, Coronary Heart Disease was the leading cause of death in the United States.
• 50% of the 1 million annual myocardial infarctions (heart attacks) that occur are a first-time event.

Risk factors:

• Diabetes
• Increasing Age
• Genetic or Hereditary
• Tobacco Smoking
• Lack of physical exercise
• Smoking
• High cholesterol
• Obesity
• Heavy drinking

Detection
• Electron-beam Computed Tomography (EBCT) – a sort of X-Ray that can identify calcium deposits within arteries. Calcium deposits are a strong indication of coronary heart disease especially in younger people in their 40’s and fifties. The amount of arterial calcium deposits naturally increases as we age.
• Angiogram –an X-Ray test that uses a special dye and camera to take pictures of the blood flow in an artery or a vein.
• Stress Test- (treadmill test) – a person is hooked up to heart monitors and begins exercising on a treadmill. The person first starts at a slow pace and then move to a fast pace. The person’s oxygen levels are tested as well as indicators such as heart rate and EKG.

Treatment
• Include moderate exercise in your daily schedule
• Maintain a low-fat, low-sodium diet
• Coronary Bypass Surgery
• Balloon Angioplasty
• Stents

Prognosis
Prognosis of asymptomatic coronary heart disease is hard to determine because it depends on the severity. Also, exercise and diet can reduce the risk of heart attack by 30%.

I know some folks who would, but most wouldn’t.

Let’s try this: Would you take a nutritional supplement called Alli, even though the side effect is nasty, oily smelly stool? Hmm. Even I would have to ponder that for a bit.
Last summer, all the hype was about Alli, the first FDA over-the-counter diet pill. For $50 -$60 for a starter pack, Alli can help you lose 10 lbs and up in a short period of time, even without exercise. Life is great. Life is beautiful.
Unfortunately, soon after, one starts to notice a change in the <ahem> stools. You develop lots of gas and pass oily spotting (yuk) and frequent stools that may be hard to control. The company who makes Alli, GlaxoSmithKline, actually has that warning on its website.

Because of these side effects, sales of Alli are quickly dropping. Believe it or not, some users still swear by it.

Would you use this product? Have you used Alli? I want to hear from you.

Until then, Walk in Beauty.
